Provide patient care in a modern, fast-paced laboratory.
Job Summary Collect appropriate specimen for diagnostic testing.
Process specimens for transport to reference laboratory for specialized testing with necessary paperwork and documentations.
Operate and maintain a variety of automated analyzers according to standard operating procedure.
Collect data, prepare reports, answer correspondence and compile statistics as directed by the laboratory supervisor.
Work effectively in a team environment, coordinating work flow with other team members.
Education and/or Experience Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
Completion of a clinical internship as part of degree program.
Licensure/Certification/Registration National Certification:
MLS (ASCP) or equivalent.
Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date.
Work Schedule Day/Evening shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks 7:
30 am - 8:
00 pm; shifts are between 8 hours - 11 hours Every 3rd weekend and holiday Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below.
Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
